Elizabeth started as the Economic Development Officer on March 17, 2010. She holds a Business Administration Diploma from Confederation College, a B.A. from Lakehead University and a B.Ed from Nipissing University. Liz has worked in Pic River for over 13 years in various capacities such as the Education Department. Before joining Economic Development, Liz completed a one-year contract as the Manager of the Pic River Children and Family Learning Centre. She also has gained experience working for the Government of Canada in Thunder Bay where she assisted individuals with Employment Support. We wish Liz the best of luck in her new position with Pic River. |

Marian graduated from Northern College of Applied Arts and Technology in May 1999 with a diploma in Business Accounting. Marian has been working with Pic River First Nation since November 2000. Marian assists the Economic Development Manager with many administrative duties. Marian also assists with the management of the Williams Labourer Contract. Marian oversees and coordinates the Summer Student Employment Program which consists of proposal writing, interviewing and hiring of all summer students, and all final reporting. Marian, along with the Employment Support Coordinator provide employment support/business start-up services to Pic River members. |

Business Development
| Entrepreneurship Assist clients in accessing business development services, such as Self Employment Assistance, Business Plan Development, and General Business Counseling. | Band Owned Oversee various Pic River business interests such as Kagiano Power, Corporation, Black River Power, Umbata Falls Project. |
PRDC
Establishing license on the Big Pic Forest, maintain presence on White River, Black River and Ojibway Pic River Forest.
Assist with Chipping proposal, Business planning and funding application to supporting agencies.
Business planning, funding applications, financing, partnership building with area First Nations, Sultan.
