MISSION STATEMENT

Pic River First Nation will promote the development of a healthy, safe and self-sufficient community. Pic River First Nation will deliver fair and accountable services and programs which are reflective of its peoples' needs, priorities and available resources.

Pic River First Nation believes in its inherent right to self-government and the ability of its people to manage and control their own affairs.
 
Pic River First Nation believes self-government will be attained through self-sufficiency and the development of a stable economy and land base.
 
Pic River First Nation believes in higher education to promote the growth and capacity of the individual, community and Nation.
 
Pic River First Nation believes service delivery must be developed and implemented in a professional and accountable manner reflective of the diverse community needs, priorities, and traditions.
 
Pic River First Nation believes in the healing and recovery of one’s self is the foundation of building a healthy family, community and Nation.
